Written & Performed by John Stenhouse
Directed by Lisa Stenhouse
On Saturday 6 December 1969 over 300,000 people arrive for the West Coast's version of Woodstock and the Rolling Stones' vision of free music. But as dusk descends, celebration turns to carnage, bringing the peace-and-love ethos of the 60s to a violent end.
Follow Joe, a naive music fan, as he encounters dancing chicks, long-haired hippies and terrifying Hells Angels. Inspired by the tragic events at the Altamont Speedway Free Festival and the film Gimme Shelter, Altamont is a gripping interpretation of real life events.
